Here at Farmers & Merchants Union Bank We are part of the Community and the Community is part of us.

Community Involvement

During the month of June,

the bank celebrated June Dairy Month.

Each location served Sassy Cow ice cream

and customers signed up for drawings.

At each location a child won a

gift bag and an adult won a cheese basket.

Our group was seated on the first baseline.

 

Mrs. Halvorson's 3rd grade art class is

studying Architect Designs and the

work of Louis Sullivan.

They took a field trip to the bank to

see things first hand. 

Bank employee Peggy

gave them a little history about

Louis Sullivan's life and the different

materials that he worked with

seen in the entry way of the bank.

Material included the red brick, terra

cotta molds, marble lintel, stain glass

windows and the horizontal lines, all

trademarks that he was famous for.

Some of his trademarks reminded him

of the prairies & urban places he

visited growing up in Massachusetts.

Sunday March 14th 2010 we took a trip to the

Schauer Arts and Activities Center

in Hartford for an afternoon of
Irish folk music and dance preformed

by Leahy's Luck.

The Juneau Chamber of Commerce held it's
annual Parade of Trees at the
Juneau Public Library.

Farmers & Merchants Union Bank

by Stan, Assistant Vice President.

We traveled to the Crystal Grand Theatre
in Wisconsin Dells on December 5th
to see the Oakridge Boys

October 7th was our Fall Color Tour.
We traveled Southwest Wisconsin with
stops at Sunrise Orchards,
Mt Sterling Co-op Creamery for
some goat milk cheese.
Then we went onto the Old Man River
Restaurant in McGregor Iowa for lunch.
We ended our day with some
wine tasting at the
Wollersheim Winery in Prairie du Sac.

Dodge County Fair Season Pass Winner

 

Bradley & Susan of
Fall River were the winners of the
four season passes with reserved seating
to the Rodney Atkins performance at
the Dodge County Fair.

 

The Columbus High School
received two new scoreboards in the
main gymnasium.

came to Columbus on August 13th

Farmers & Merchants Union Bank
was the poster sponsor.
Attendance doubled at this year's
event compared to the last time in 2003 .

This was a fund raising event for the
Columbus Fire Department.

The Columbus Chamber hosted
a Public Enemies Celebration in honor of
the opening of the movie Public Enemies.
Columbus was one of the filming sites for
the movie and the celebration was a great
success. There were about 500 motorcycles
that made a stop in
Columbus for the Celebration.
