Business Debit MasterCard® is a widely accepted alternative to writing a check. You can use your Business Debit MasterCard® to pay for purchases at any merchant displaying the MasterCard® logo - all at no additional cost. The purchase price will be deducted from your Farmers & Merchants Union Bank Business Checking Account. In addition, you can use your Business Debit MasterCard® to withdraw cash at any Pulse®/Cirrus® ATM located throughout the world.

Using your Debit Card on the Internet

We now have MasterCard SecureCode for shopping online. Particpating online merchants will ask you for your own private SecureCode when making a purchase - just like entering a PIN at the automated teller machine. To enroll or to change/reset your password, click here.

Q. Why should I use Business Debit MasterCard®?

A. Because it's faster and easier. No need to write a check or wait for check approvals. No need to carry extra cash or keep a lot of petty cash on hand.

Q. Where would I use my Business Debit MasterCard®?

A. Use it wherever MasterCard® is accepted. Your Business Debit MasterCard® can be used for any mail, phone, in-person or internet order.

Q. How will this transaction post to my account?

A. Business Debit MasterCard® transactions appear on your monthly Business Checking Account statement, just like the checks you write.

Q. What do I do if I want to return something I purchased with my Business Debit MasterCard®?

A. Take all returns to the place you purchased them, just like you do now paying with cash, check or credit.

Q. Can I have multiple cards for my business?

A. Yes. The Business Debit MasterCard® has two lines of embossing. This allows you to have your business name and an employee name on the card.

Q. Can some of my Business Debit MasterCard®'s have ATM access and others not?

A. Yes. Each Business Debit MasterCard® can have its individual pre-determined spending and access limits.

Farmers & Merchants Union Bank is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under the program, through December 31, 2010, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. NOW accounts paying a higher rate of interest will not be eligible for the additional coverage under the program. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules. On May 20, 2009, FDIC deposit insurance temporarily increased from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor through December 31, 2013.
